Tooth pain

Teeth, contrary to what many people believe, are a completely living part of the body. We usually become aware of this when we feel toothache, which is a warning signal from our teeth. At the same time, the causes of toothache do not necessarily have to concern the teeth or the jaw itself. There are also diseases of the maxillary sinus or the temporomandibular joint, in which the pain radiates into the teeth. The most sensible treatment of toothache, as with all other forms of pain, is as with all other forms of pain, is to treat and eliminate the causes. Painkillers will only help over the days and hours until the dentist can provide relief. Toothache can also occur as a result of necessary, extensive dental treatment. Painkillers help against acute toothache, but they cannot spare you a visit to the dentist. The pain messengers (the prostaglandins) play an important role in the development of toothache. The cells of the pulp and periodontium can also release prostaglandins when they become irritated and inflamed. This is where the effect of painkillers comes in. They inhibit the formation of the prostaglandins and thus quickly relieve the pain.
